FAQs
What are the vibes?
We’re doing things a little differently and having a private ceremony with our immediate families. The reception to follow is really just a chill after-party with our favorite people. Laid-back, fun, and filled with good food, music and drinks! No tight timelines and no stuffiness.
What time should I arrive?
Welcome drinks kick off at 5:00pm, so we’d recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to park and get settled. Traffic can be unpredictable during end-of-week rush hour, so give yourself some buffer time and come ready to enjoy the night!
What is the dress code?
Dressy casual with a vintage-inspired feel. Jewel tones and rich earthy shades are encouraged, along with textures like velvet, satin, lace, florals, and embroidery. The palette and theme are encouraged, but no one needs to match them perfectly or purchase something new.
Women: Cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, or dressy separates.
Men: Button-downs, knit polos, sweaters, trousers, chinos, or relaxed suits. Jackets are optional and ties are not required.
Kids: Comfortable dresses, sweaters, button-downs, polos, or dressy separates.
Are guests invited to the private ceremony?
We’ll be joined at the courthouse ceremony by our immediate family and closest friends.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome! Just a heads-up that Atlanta Utility Works is an industrial-style venue, so please keep that in mind when deciding whether to bring little ones. Children will need to remain supervised throughout the evening.
What food and drinks will be available?
There will be a charcuterie spread for snacking upon arrival, which will include meat and cheese pairings (salami, prosciutto, brie, goat cheese, cheddar, etc), hummus, pimento, nuts, and veggies.
Dinner will be catered by Fox Bros BBQ, which will include pulled pork and chicken, mac & cheese, collard greens, and jalapeno cornbread muffins. We are offering banana pudding and chocolate pecan pie bars for dessert.
If you have any food allergies or dietary concerns, please let us know so we can properly accommodate you.
We are offering an open bar as well as non-alcoholic options such as lemonade, iced tea, and sodas.
Will the celebration be indoors or outdoors?
The celebration will take place primarily outdoors in the Foundry Ruins. Since it’s late October, we recommend checking the weather and bringing a jacket or layer for the evening. The venue also has some uneven surfaces, so please choose shoes you can comfortably walk and dance in.
